"In a gentle way, you can shake the world"
We all have ways of making this world a better place - let's make it good! The music that I write can best be described as "Positive uplifting Americana". While I am working on getting recordings done, I have posted lyrics onto this site, in hopes they can inspire. What I have recorded, plays here on the website.
Performance Updates: I have been performing "here and there" as schedule permits; I am worship team leader at New Life Assembly of God in Baldwin City, KS, ( baldwincitychurch.com ) and do occasional performances locally. I am deeply grateful to all the wonderful musicians and experiences that have helped me on my pathway;
- Sad Cowboy Recording Co ( sadcowboyrecordingco.com ) and Matthew Mulnix who helped me finally get back into being able to move forward again on recording my songs after 9 years of challenges!
- South Dakota Country Music Hall of Fame ( www.southdakotacountrymusichalloffame.org ) and am so grateful for their support and jam sessions! I am also very glad to have connected with wonderful people such as Elaine Peacock (www.elainepeacock.com) Dave Bergquist, and Wini Iverson
- Trinity Lutheran church in Yankton, South Dakota, where I sang with the worship team for 9 years. The experience and memories of that time has been such a blessing. www.tlcyankton.com
- Yankton SD chapter of Sweet Adeline's International
Music Updates:
- My Christmas single, “One Night Divine” is now on a local Lawrence KS artist's album to support the Americana Music Academy Scholarship Fund - proud to be a part of this, and in the company of some great musicians!
- My country single “Daddy Taught Me” is just finishing up at the studio - many thanks to Sad Cowboy Recording Co and Matthew Mulnix for his instrumentation skills! That is a song I wrote about my experiences growing up helping Dad fix things; I wrote it in May 2019, (fortunately) recorded a rough draft of it on my phone and sent it to him. He passed suddenly Labor Day weekend of 2019, and I sung the song at his funeral. A song for anyone who has grown up helping and learning about “hands on” repairs!
- Thanks to “Sad Cowboy Recording Co” in Lawrence, Kansas I am finally able to move forward again on my music.
- Next song to be recorded is “Unexpected Angel”, a song about those amazing beings that just show up at the right time.
- I have choir sheet music done for the "flowing, Heavenly version" of Just Believe, (thank you Joe Pekas!) so that anyone who wants to sing it has access to the music. (It is very much a "church choir" song) If anyone wants a copy of it, just contact me through this website. The "sheet music instrumental version" plays on this site, so it can be heard how that version goes.
*** Sad Note; On July 29th, 2017, our dear friend and co-songwriter of the beautiful song, "Just Believe" (spiritual hymn), Gail Gerdin, transitioned into spirit...she will be greatly missed. A free download of the song we wrote together is at the bottom of this page in the song listings....prayers for strength and healing to all who were touched by her beautiful, kind spirit. *** The song is our gift to the world - we hope and pray it may inspire others to follow their dreams. Please download and share the song as you see fit to do so - all we ask is that full credit / website references be given....blessings.
I will put here a quote I just got; (from a fortune cookie at a restaurant of all places!)
